Web design in Burlington for local businesses

Burlington sits between Hamilton and Oakville and gets searched from both sides. A plumber in Aldershot competes with Hamilton listings; a restaurant on Brant Street competes with Oakville's. If your website does not state clearly that you are a Burlington business serving Burlington neighbourhoods, Google will hand the click to someone who does.

We build websites for Burlington businesses that claim their territory — by neighbourhood, by service and by the reviews that prove it.

Who this is for

Businesses in Burlington we build for.

Trades & home improvement

Burlington's housing stock spans 1960s bungalows to new Alton builds. Roofing, plumbing, electrical, windows and landscaping companies win with a clear service area, real job photos and a fast quote form.

Restaurants & patios

Brant Street and the waterfront fill on summer nights. Readable menus, reservation links and current patio hours are what the phone search needs.

Health & wellness

Physio, chiropractic, dental and naturopathic clinics around Joseph Brant Hospital and the QEW compete on convenience. Online booking and transparent fees decide it.

Industrial & B2B services

Along Mainway, Harvester and the North Service Road, suppliers are vetted online first. A clean capabilities page and a request-for-quote path outperform any animation.

Burlington, Ontario

A Burlington site that competes with two cities at once

Because Burlington searches overlap with Hamilton and Oakville, local signals matter more than usual. Every Burlington site we build includes structured data for the city and its neighbourhoods, a Google Business Profile configured for Burlington and Halton, and page content that names the areas you serve — naturally, not stuffed.

Performance is the other lever. Our sites are hand-coded on Next.js and hosted on Vercel, which means they load in well under a second on a phone and pass Core Web Vitals. Slow template sites lose the Burlington customer before the page renders.

Pricing is fixed and public: Launch $799–1,200, Growth $2,500–4,500, Scale $6,000–12,000, and a Managed Care plan at $250–400 per month if you want us to keep everything updated and monitored.

Burlington in practice

A Halton address inside the Hamilton economy

Burlington sits in Halton Region, but Statistics Canada counts it inside the Hamilton census metropolitan area, and that split is not academic. A shop on Plains Road West draws staff, suppliers and walk-ins from Hamilton's north end. A unit on Burloak Drive, fifteen minutes east, behaves like Oakville. Same city, same 905 number, two different catchments. If your website says only "Burlington" and never says which side of the city you actually work out of, the far side has no reason to believe you are close to them.

Burlington has almost no room left to grow outward. The Niagara Escarpment crosses the city north of Dundas Street, and the Greenbelt Plan takes in the Escarpment Plan lands and exists, in the province's own words, to identify "where urbanization should not occur". Kilbride, Lowville and Mount Nemo stay rural. What is left is infill, and the city has named three places to put it: the Aldershot, Burlington and Appleby GO station areas. For a trade, that changes the pitch. There is very little greenfield work here. You are selling replacement — a second bathroom in a fifty-year-old side split off Guelph Line — so your site needs before-and-after photographs, not renders.

The other half of the economy is quiet and industrial. Invest Burlington lists Sofina Foods, Evertz Microsystems, Voortman, Hunter Amenities and Cogeco as the city's five largest private-sector employers, with ABB, Boehringer Ingelheim, Thermo Fisher and Samuel, Son & Co. also here, in a $10.6-billion local economy. Those firms sit on ordinary Burlington streets — Evertz on John Lucas Drive, Samuel on Appleby Line — and the units that serve them run along Harvester Road and the service roads either side of the QEW. If that is your customer, your site is being read at a desk, not on a driveway.

Two clocks run Burlington's small businesses. One is seasonal: LaSalle Park Marina's 219 docking spaces close for the season in late October, and the federal lift bridge over the canal stops operating from early January to mid-March, so anything tied to the lake earns most of its money in about seven months. The other is demographic. Burlington's residents are the oldest in Halton — a median age of 44.4 against the region's 40.8, with the 65-plus group up 55 per cent between 2006 and 2021. Both clocks belong on your website.

Why it matters here

Serving two catchments without confusing either

You are found from Hamilton too

Aldershot pulls from Hamilton's north end; Burloak and Appleby sit on the Oakville line. One generic service page asks Google to tell you apart from a competitor twenty minutes down the QEW. Naming Tyandaga, Shoreacres or Millcroft — wherever you actually work — is what makes proximity believable.

Replacement work, not new builds

The escarpment and the Greenbelt close off the north, so nearly every residential job here happens in a house that already exists. Stock photos of new construction read false to a homeowner in Roseland or Longmoor. Photographs of your own crew inside an older Burlington home do the selling instead.

Your buyer might be Evertz

Evertz Microsystems runs its head office from John Lucas Drive and Samuel, Son & Co. has a plant on Appleby Line. Supply or subcontract to buildings like those and your site gets opened by someone filling in a vendor record. It needs your legal name, a street address and evidence you do that exact thing.

Growth is going upstairs

The city is directing its future population and job growth to the Aldershot, Burlington and Appleby GO station areas. More of your future customers will be upstairs in a building than behind a driveway — reached through a property manager, with nowhere to park the truck. Say on your site whether you do buildings.

An older customer will phone

Burlington's median age, 44.4, is the highest in Halton, and the 65-plus group grew 55 per cent between 2006 and 2021. That customer taps the number in your header. Legible type, plain hours and a named human beat a chat bubble — and a phone that gets answered beats all of it.

How they search

Proximity is measured from the next city over

Google weighs proximity from wherever the searcher is standing, and Burlington's edges are other cities. A pin in Aldershot is closer to Hamilton's north end than it is to Appleby Line; a pin at Burloak is on Oakville's doorstep. You cannot move your shop, and you should not fake a second address, but you can stop writing about Burlington as though it were one place. A review that names the street where the job happened is worth more than another paragraph repeating the city name.

The three GO stations point at Toronto, not at Burlington. Someone who boards at Appleby in the morning is not available for a ten o'clock quote and is not going to phone you from an open-plan office. That enquiry arrives in writing, in the evening, for work that has to happen on a Saturday. If your booking form only offers weekday daytime slots, the commuters cannot use it, and if nobody replies until Tuesday you will never know they were there.

Downtown runs on its own calendar. Labour Day weekend belongs to Canada's Largest Ribfest at Spencer Smith Park — four days, September 4 to 7 in 2026. The June weekend at the same park changed hands for 2026: after the Sound of Music's long run ended, MRG Live's Lakeshore Music and Arts Festival takes June 20 and 21. On those weekends people stand on Brant Street looking up hours, parking and whether your patio is open. Getting your hours right for six days a year pays back out of proportion to the effort.

Who you deal with

Jonas, founder

Letremor is a small studio, not an agency floor. The person who answers your email is the person who designs and builds the site — the same one ALM Wire and RD Wire deal with today.

That means no account manager relaying messages, no junior handed your project after the pitch, and a straight answer when something is a bad idea. It also means we take on a limited number of builds at a time, which is why the free audit and mockup come first: you see the work before either of us commits.

FAQ

Questions from Burlington businesses.

Is a one-page website enough for a Burlington trades business?

Often, yes. A strong one-page site with services, service area, reviews, photos and a quote form will outperform a bloated ten-page template. When you have several distinct services or areas, we move to a multi-page Growth site so each can rank on its own.

Can you fix my Google Business Profile for Burlington?

Yes — categories, service areas (Burlington, Aldershot, Alton, Millcroft and so on), photos, products and the review request flow. It is included in every website package.

Do you work with businesses in Hamilton as well?

We serve the whole west GTA and Hamilton area. If your service area spans both cities, we build the site and the Google profile to reflect that honestly.

Does having my address in Aldershot hurt me for jobs out at Appleby and Burloak?

It affects the map pack, not the whole site. Google ranks proximity from where the searcher stands, so an Aldershot pin surfaces less often for someone near Appleby Line. Do not invent a second address. Set your service area honestly, write a real page for each part of the city you genuinely cover — Alton, Millcroft, Shoreacres, whichever they are — and ask customers to mention the area in their reviews. Working on that continuously is Local SEO, $600–900 a month.

A lot of my work comes from Oakville and Hamilton. Should I build pages for those cities too?

Only if you have something real to say about them. Burlington sits between both, so the temptation is obvious, and thin near-identical city pages are exactly what Google has spent the last few years demoting — it has happened to pages of ours. One page per city you actually serve, with your own photos, your travel limits and jobs you have really done there, beats nine copies. If you cannot fill it honestly, do not publish it.

My season ends in October. Is a website worth paying for when I only do seven months of business?

That is when it earns its keep. The marina empties in late October and the lift bridge stops running in early January, so from November your customers are thinking about winter storage, shrink-wrap and next spring's booking. The site can be built so the homepage message and the main call to action switch over in minutes. That is a Launch build at $799–1,200, or Growth at $2,500–4,500 if you sell several services. Ongoing changes like that live in Managed Care, $250–400 a month.

I already have a site from 2016. Should I rebuild it or just fix it?

Open it on your phone first. If it loads slowly, the number is not tappable and you cannot edit a word yourself, fixing costs more than replacing. Then look at the photos. If they show new-build subdivisions from when the north end — Alton, The Orchard — was still going up, and today's work is retrofits in older neighbourhoods, the site is selling a job you no longer do. That is a rebuild: Launch $799–1,200, or Growth $2,500–4,500.

We work the rural north, out past Kilbride and Lowville. How do we show up at all?

As a service-area business. Hide the address on your Google profile, list the roads and hamlets you actually drive to, and say plainly where you stop. Escarpment jobs come with well and septic questions, gravel driveways and long drives, so publish your travel policy instead of hiding it — the call you avoid is the one you were going to lose anyway. A Launch site at $799–1,200 covers this if you have one core service.
